Changes to the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010

Employers are advised that Fair Work Australia has varied the SCDS Award by varying the Transitional Provisions for the minimum wages and loading and penalty rates.

Employers are advised that Fair Work Australia has varied the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCDS) by varying the Transitional Provisions as they relate to:

1. Minimum Wages

2. Loadings and penalty rates, which include:

  • Casual or part-time loading;
  • Saturday, Sunday, public holiday, evening or other penalty;
  • Shift loadings/penalty.

Please note that the Transitional Provisions, for the minimum wages and loading and penalty rates, which were due to take effect from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2011 have been deferred until the first full pay period on or after 1 February 2012.
