05 Jun Annual Wage Review 2013 – 2014 Decision
We write to advise that on Wednesday 4 June 2014, the Fair Work Commission’s Minimum Wage Panel handed down its Annual Wage Review decision under the Fair Work Act 2009.
The outcome of the review in relation to modern award minimum wages is that from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2014 the minimum weekly wages are increased by 3%, with commensurate increases in hourly rates on the basis of a 38 hour week. The national minimum wage therefore increases to $640.90 per week or $16.87 per hour.
Clients that currently have Enterprise Agreements in force will need to check their wages against the Modern Award minimum wages that will take effect. Support should be sought from Pinnacle HR on this matter.
