24 Jul Fair Work Commission – Annual Wage Review 2014 – 2015
We write to advise that on Tuesday 2 June 2015, the Fair Work Commission’s Minimum Wage Panel handed down its Annual Wage Review decision under the Fair Work Act 2009. The national minimum wage has increased to $656.90 per week or $17.29 per hour.
The outcome of the review in relation to modern award minimum wages is that from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2015 the minimum weekly wages are increased by 2.5%, with commensurate increases in hourly rates on the basis of a 38 hour week. Clients that currently have enterprise agreements in force will need to check their wages against the modern award minimum wages that will take effect.
